1. Controller

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data such as IP address, date/time, requested page and browser information to deliver the site securely. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For transfers to the USA, Vercel relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.

3. Language detection and cookie

To show you the right language, only your country is derived from your IP address (provided by Vercel). The country is not stored. It also determines whether direct sales within Switzerland are shown.

If you choose a language manually, we store that choice in a cookie ("bbl_lang", 1 year). This cookie is strictly necessary. We use no analytics or advertising cookies.

4. Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, chosen language and the time of your consent in a non-public storage (Vercel Blob). Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. 5. Orders via Stripe

If you order a signed copy, payment is processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., Ireland). Stripe processes your name, email, delivery address, payment details and any dedication. We receive these details to fulfil and ship your order (performance of contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and keep accounting records for the statutory retention periods. Stripe may also process data in the USA.

6. Links to Amazon

The Amazon buttons are plain links. Only when you click them are you taken to Amazon, where Amazon's privacy policy applies.

7. Fonts

Fonts are served from our own server. No connection to Google is made.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, and to withdraw consent. Contact us at the email address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or an EU supervisory authority.
